Has it been well or isn't supposed what it's supposed to be? Take good care of your mental health although you're struggling with acne. No worries I found another solution to combat acne!

    Despite my previous post on T3 Mycin Clindamycin Lotion Review that hyped for the past year for its efficiency, believe it or not, the lotion seems less effective on me these days. Perhaps my skin had been immuned to this antibiotic and showed no improvement on my acne.

    Therefore, I give it a try to Deriva Adapalene Gel Microspheres 0.1% even though I kinda scared to start since it is a retinoid, and I never use retinoid before. This gel has the same composition as Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% where both of them are used to treat acne but different ranges of price. As Deriva Adapalene Gel is cheaper than Differin.

Let's dive in through the details of the product first before reviewing it!

Origin: India

Composition: Adapalene 0.1% w/w (As microspheres) In aqueous gel-based

Administration: This gel is used in the topical treatment for mild to moderate acne where comedones, papules, and pustules predominate

Direction: Apply once daily at night on cleansed and dry skin.

It is recommended to start off with the lowest frequency/dosage for beginners with retinoids. As for me, I started by applying once for the first week, twice for the second week and increased the frequency as weeks passed. 

Drug interaction: It's not recommended to use adapalene get with other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics that have strong drying effects, and products with high concentrations of alcohol, astringents, spices or lime)

You must avoid using exfoliating acid like AHA &BHA and salicylic acid at the same time using adapalene because it may cause irritation.

During the treatment...

Up to the day I posted this article would be the Week 8 of using adapalene gel. Obviously, the first week was insignificant until the second week. The acne underneath my skin started to appear. I had put a lot of effort to diminish my under-skin acne but none of them work with other products.

Starting Week 4 onwards, I started applying to my whole face every night. Most of the acne under the skin surfaced and it makes me happy when it finally comes out. Because you know the feeling I had when I cleansed the face and feeling the invisible bumpy acne underneath which makes me irritated. As expected, my acne purged. While using this treatment, it is advised not to discontinue the treatment as this is normal if you purged. The result may be noticed within eight to twelve weeks of treatment.

Do not skip sunscreen during the day as your skin would be more sensitive. Dryness may be experienced during the treatment.

Acne appeared badly in Week 2 and healed in Week 4. Previously, this acne sits in the skin, but after using this gel I can feel no hidden bumps in it.

After a while, the previous acne had left the scars and the area next to it starts to purge as well due to the effect of treatment

In short, it is worth trying. Don't expect it to work overnight. It takes months to see the result.

Eucerin AQUAporin Active Mist Spray Review

It has been a long time coming. I would like to make a quick review regarding the product I have been using which is Eucerin AQUAporin Active mist spray.

My final thoughts:

    I have been using this product for more than two years and I believe the mist spray from Eucerin works better in hydrating. Since I got oily skin, Eucerin mist spray works as an alternative to moisturizer to give instant hydration compared to other mist sprays. I have been trying another brand of mist sprays normally known as thermal water but they don't work the same. This mist spray hydrates my skin right after application, giving the bouncy and supple feeling. The claims of "instant and long-lasting hydration" meet the goal! It's worth trying.

Home remedy: Slaked Lime for acne

I would like to share about one of the spot treatment that most of the people do not know about it. It is super effective, very affordable and can remove acne PERMANENTLY but dangerous for sensitive skin. I said PERMANENTLY! Am I kidding?  Hahaha no no no. I had used this spot treatment for almost a year since my mom keep telling me to use that. At first I have no idea whether it is effective. 

After I tried it, it is super effective on my pimple. The pimple has gone forever! The thing that I am talking is about SLAKED LIME. Do you know slaked lime? 

    It is usually eaten with betel leaves where my late grandma always used to eat during leisure time. She will take a piece of betel leaf, spreaded the slaked lime on it, add a few pieces of gambier and eat. Thus, make her teeth becomes red and mouth to be smelly. I have tried it once when I was kid and it tasted awful and spicy~ This might be strange for non-Asian but it is common among elders in Malaysia and Indonesia.

    Slaked lime or its scientific name is calcium carbonate has a sundry of purposes. It can be used to treat cancer/tumor by applying on part of body that was suffered and left to dry. Yet, after a few application, the size of tumor will decrease day by day. My aunty had suffered from cancer before. But since she always apply lime, the tumor was gone with no necessity to do chemotherapy.It is also can reduce unpleasant body odour by applying it on underarm during shower and rinse off. It is the best solution for any of you who has that unpleasant smell since the usage of deodorant can't help at all to reduce strong body's odour.

    I used  it as a spot treatment and apply lime on the pimple before bedtime, leave overnight and rinse it off the next morning. Be careful, if you apply it too thick, it will hard to remove after it hardens, like you apply clay mask. Make sure to wet the face and remove the hardened lime gently. 

    Nah, my face has slightly burned due to improper removal. But, believe or not that burned part never shows pimple up then. The burn will go away after 2 to 3 days (depend on the amount of slaked lime you're putting. The more you put, the longer it takes to heal). I will soothe the burn with aloe vera gel. Then, the pimple has gone forever and didn't make their appearance until now. It will leave a slight mark but when I touch on the burned area, it just like no acne has been there before.

Don’t forget to use scar brightening serum to lighten the scar.

    Normally, I always come up with pustules. But now, it hardly can be seen instead of nodule and cyst (my common problem right now)

T3 Mycin Clndamycin Gel 1% review

T3 Mycin Clndamycin Gel 1%

Hi! While I am writing this, I got three big acnes on my inner cheeks and done applying acne gel. This is a gel for acne vulgaris named T3 Mycin Clindamycin Gel 1% and it is a fraternal twin of T3 Clindamycin Lotion. The difference between these two products is obviously its texture, one is lotion and the other is gel.  But the way they react to treat acne is totally different for me, because the gel seems mild compared to the lotion although there is no change in the ingredients (maybe due to its formulation). I haven’t use the T3 Clindamycin Lotion for a year because my acne is not aggressive like years before, so I decided to switch with gel. For me, lotion has a strong scent and irritates compared to gel.

Description:

For the topical treatment of acne vulgaris.

Ingredients:

Active ingredient: Clindamycin Phosphate 1.2% w/w

Preservatives: Methyl paraben 0.05%, Propyl paraben 0.025%

* Gel consist of a lower amount of methyl paraben by 0.03% and high propyl paraben by 0.005%

Packaging:

A white milk-ish opaque cap and tube.

Texture and odour:

Texture: Transparent white gel.

Odour: No fragrance.

Direction:

After washing, apply to the affected area twice daily or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

* My pharmacist asked me to apply only at night to avoid sensitivity of skin if exposed to sunlight.

Opinion

The effectiveness is kinda slow and took almost a week to see the difference. Sometimes, I am not aware of the changes. But I am not telling this gel is not good, but it’s a worth to try to kill all those bacteria. Since it is an antibiotic and controlled medicine therefore it is only available in pharmacy.

Pros:

-kill acne bacteria in mild way

-a good antibiotic for acne

Cons:

-oily after application

-slow effectiveness

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review

Today I would like to make a review on brightening treatment which is super effective and you should try it!
Before I bought this treatment serum, I keep thinking over and over whether it is worth me or not. But after watching reviews on Youtube and reading many blog posts review, I keep my faith and order it and really hoping that this will help me since many positive feedbacks received from other users. So, why not?

Description:
This Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a high strength vitamin and blemish formula specially formulated with Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) for reducing the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA) to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.
This product is specially created for reducing the blemishes and dark spot on skin by lighten the spot where niacinamide is functioning as a brightening agent.

Overall, all of the DECEIM company products are using scientific name of the main ingredients as the brand naming. And I can say most of us might not familiar with the chemical name as well as how does that ingredients work on our skin. But don’t worry because the DECEIM company has already stated the description and direction of use in their official website in theordinary.com.
This niacinamide consists of pH value ranging between 5.50 and 6.50.

Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Xanthan gum, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

Packaging:
It comes in a white packaging box. The content is filled in a small glass bottle and dropper is provided to suck the liquid. All we need to do is suck the liquid with the dropper and put on the palm before applying on the face. But, I just dropped it directly on the face without putting it on palm to reduce the time taken.
Only available in 30ml.

Texture and odour:
It is a white liquid serum. It texture is not too sticky and not too watery. At first I smelled like Innisfree Super Pore Clay Mask. But, then I don’t know how to describe the smell. Sometimes it smells like snail mucus like mostly contain in mask sheet.

Direction:
Apply to entire face morning and evening before cream.
For me, I used it only at night or right before sleep due to its heavy liquid and seem not suitable to be put under makeup if I use it in the morning. Instead, I will use this Niacinamide in the morning when I am indoor or since I do not use it on the previous night, so I will use it in the next morning. And a thing that keep bothering me is my face will feel slightly sticky after application. The only way I did to reduce the stickiness is by applying Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner before applying Niacinamide.

NOTE:  If you are using topical Vitamin C as part of skincare, it should be applied at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in PM and this formula in AM).  Otherwise, it will affect the integrity of pure-form Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid). (DECEIM,2018)

Opinion:
Since I started using Niacinamide, it has really changed my life to a better one after 4 years waiting. Thanks to the magic of The Ordinary, I can smile again and gain my confidence back after suffering from a really long journey of acne. Starting from two months after frequent application, my skin showed some improvements where all of the old and new acne scars lighten and finally gone. There are no more pigmented scars on my face. As well as acne has suddenly comes to a reduction since I used The Ordinary. Yes! Believe or not, The Ordinary has sweep out all the acne scars especially old pigmented scars from many years ago. Miracle! My acne has reduced too! It is just like 2 in 1. Lighten scars and reduce acne(this is my opinion). But, kindly to remind that DECEIM noting:
“ while Niacinamide and Zinc PCA reduce the look of blemishes, and balance sebum activity, neither is a treatment for acne…”
For those who has persistent acne related condition, DECEIM company has recommended the use of Benzoyl Peroxide/ Retinoic Acid. You are not recommended the ongoing use of BHA such as Salicylic Acid for persistent blemishes. For temporary improvement in appearance of blemishes, Salicylic Acid would help. This formulation can be use alongside acne treatment for added visible skin benefits.(DECEIM,2018)
In order to reduce acne, I am using T3 Clindamycin Lotion alongside with this formula has slightly improved my skin conditions.

My Acne Cured!

Hey everyone! Anybody miss me? 

I am so sorry for not updating for a while since I am busy lately and later. So I’m using this short and free time to blog since you must want to know the progress of my acne journey, and what am I going to say over here is it is……

I will keep this writing simple and short. My latest post in 2017 is about Aiken Tea Tree Oil Review. Anybody has read it? Okay, if you haven’t, make sure you go through right after this. 

My acne is about 80% recovered. My face is getting better and I have less worry now (Yeay!). I am in the process of treating acne scars right now and less nodule, cyst and pustules can be seen on my face since two months ago. 

What makes my skin better? I will be telling you some tips including a few things to be practiced in our daily life to prevent acne (I did it and worked), types of product that really work and worth and last but not least the do and don’ts. I will be sharing all of this on the next upcoming posts. There are a few products that I really want to share with you that really help me in battling acne. But, not now. On June 22 2017, my face was aggravated with acne which mostly are nodule and cysts. They are really painful and mostly nodule and cyst will takes place on my chin area and upper cheeks ( located beside the nose) as well as nose. On Nov 3 2017, as can be seen, the acne has gone but I still have the tendency to have acne on chin if I don't watch my diet.

    Based on the first picture, severe acne usually grown on my forehead  especially between the eyebrows, above the eyebrows and in the middle of the forehead. Those areas are the hotspots for acne. When I applied the tea tree oil and make it as a routine but seems my acne is hardly to diminish. Opinion:

I did not use this tea tree oil as a stand-alone routine, but I will combine with any other spot treatment products. For instance, Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Blemish Gel or Tidact Gel 1% to ensure the high speed of recovery. I will apply as directed on the bottle at least twice daily after cleansing.

Pros:

-cure severe acne including cysts
-high sensation of tea tree
-multi-task oil

Cons:

-a tingling effect on the skin (irritate my skin causes slightly red if put it too much on the skin)
-unable to treat nodule (it is hard though)

(clap,clap)>.< At first, I am quite hesitating to use it although some research, asking people and feedback from the users who are using this has been done. After considering and at last I decided to try it and let the power of Almighty determined to cure me or not. It is the best. I used this ACV since March 23th this year and tomorrow will completely a month I am using this.

Here, I like to feed my reader with information rather giving a blind review without research and confirmation.

Ingredients:
Certified organic, raw apple cider vinegar and purified water. Diluted to 5% acidity.
       
Packaging:
It is a big-glassed bottle and surely fragile. Handle with care. Amount as 946ml.

Texture and odour:
Watery. Like other vinegar. Smelled stinks and strong of fermented apple scents.

Direction:
Since it is concentrated, dilute it with water to reduce AHA concentration. Since you are new to ACV, use ratio 1 ACV to 3 water. I used ACV:Water =1:2. Make a skin patch test on side of your face before applying to the whole face to avoid irritation. Wet it on cotton pad. Leave for 15 minutes and wash your face. Apply it alternately for the first week to reduce the culture shock to your skin.

For me, I used it as toner everytime after cleansing at least twice daily.

Opinion:
ACV really helps my skin to control acne. My skin is less acne compared to the past days until my mum claimed to see the improvements. I still have acne but at least I can control them and went to anywhere with a little smile. I swear the smell is stinks but just bear it! I also use to cure my body acne as well.

Actually this is my first time using T3 Pimple Gel + after I kept changing acne cream and I think all pimple cream works well on me; Aiken Tea Tree Acne Cream, Oxy 10% Benzoyl  Peroxide and I  think there's a few more but I can't remember it. Well it perform 👌 just OK ~

It size is just small as tall as my ring finger. It is opaque plastic packaging and allow you just to press the head of bottle to take the gel out like a spray bottle. Consists of 15g gel. Travel friendly!

Texture and odour:

A lightweight gel. Whenever I applied on my skin, it glide smoothly. I just need only a small amount of it to fully cover the whole face and absorbs fast. Unlike other gel I have tried, the gel is too heavy makes it hard to applied smoothly and take some time to absorb thus making my face sticky. Smell like tea tree ~

*you can applied it on open wound of pimple as it soothe and reduce inflammation

Opinion:

I'm satisfied using this product as it work as it claimed to be. The redness of pimple and inflammation reduced after one application. It is easily absorb into the skin, does not left any greasy residue. The pimple took some time to heal depend on types of pimple. Overall there is no reason for me to dislike it. 👍

Acne Story

My Acne Story

     So as I have promised you, here we goes about my acne story. Well, my acne story is not neither attractive nor interesting to be told about.  It was a terrible dream in reality that I have ever had.  I'm not going to say that my face is free from acne for now.  Not at all. Since I have seen an improvement on my skin, there is something that urges me to write it for you, willing to help and recommend after trying lots and lots of product but none of them help me at all.

     Yeah, you know and you must be feeling the same situation as mine right? It is all started since I moved to a boarding school at age 16. Boarding school.  Not an ordinary school, where I was surrounded by a clever students (I think I'm not the one😢), stress overwhelmed, rivals among each other to bet the best results. I do think so, that promoted acne. Stress. So don't be too stress like me.

     And this acne prolonged until I get 20 (now). It never comes to the end. Why my acne are lasting for too long? After finishing my high school and went to university. Lots of things needed to handle as well as stress. I think i cannot handle stress well. I should find the solution.

     Instead, I'm allergic to seafood. A terrible breakout will hit especially after eating squid. For me and you, I advise not to eat squid and try to limit certain foods like diary (i did not eat diary for a week but nothing changed),coffee and nuts. So these are some food that aggravates me and might be as well as you!

     Since I told you I have tried many products ranging from the expensive to cheap, local to abroad and I have been spending too much for skincare and if I recalculate, I can buy a DSLR or a phone. 😂And also never miss the inner treatment like pills and collagen (they claimed to be good, meh)

My skin is not like others. I also hard to understand my skin actually. I was wondering a while asking why someone use that product and able to heal just in a few months, but me for years. And I think my skin is having a very high demand about choosing the right product which sometimes makes me annoyed.

T3 Mycin Clindamycin Lotion

So this is the main product that play a very important role in treating my acne for the rest of my life. The favorite one and really recommended for those who are still searching the product to treat acne for many years but none of them work.  So here they are!! You are in the right place! 😊 I can give a guarantee your acne will less visible in a short time like what I have experienced before since this is my second bottle seriously. I got a very very stubborn acne and so far they are less visible after using this.

So let's get started!! 🙌

This is how T3 Mycin Clindamycin Lotion looks like. This lotion is one of the T3 acne range from HOE Pharmaceuticals Sdn Bhd from Malaysia. I have been suggested by a pharmacist about this lotion and why not we tried it and who knows acne will be reduced. Since it is a controlled medicine, I can say that it is hard to be found in supermarket, Guardian and Watson as well except in the pharmacy

This lotion is recommended for topical treatment of acne Bulgaria (as stated on packaging) 😉. And it is the clone of Dalacin-T, but using different brand which under T3 brand.

Ingredients:

Contains active ingredient :Clindamycin Phosphate 1.2% (equivalent to 1.0% Clindamycin)
Preservatives : Methyl paraben 0.08%, Propyl paraben 0.02%

Packaging:

A small thick glass bottle about  palm size with a smooth blue sponge in it for application.
Contains 30ml of watery liquid and exactly looks like water. But no no it is not water okay!

In my opinion when using the lotion as it gives a very strong and stink smell like you are applying petrol on your face and smell that stink petrol *yuks*. Especially when you got acne on your nose,chin and under the nose where you need to smell it directly. See,  how terrible the smell is.. 😕

      Just endure that stink for a minute and it will be gone (for sake of beauty😂).Have you heard that sometimes a thing that we don't like is the best for us. So, here we goes..

Direction :

1. Clean and dry skin area to be treated
2. Apply a thin film twice daily to the affected area. Avoid eyes and mouth. If medication accidentally  enters the eyes,  rinse thoroughly with water.
3. Use dabbing motion with tip rather than rolling motion. If tip dries out,  invert the bottle and depress tip several times until it becomes moist.

Apply to dry skin ya! And make sure no open wound on skin especially on pimple because you might not realize actually you leave wound after popping pimple. When you apply it on open wound, your skin will irritate and feeling like ouch it's hurt! Cos I have done once😦

Then apply a thin film,  not thick because a thin film already enough to treat your acne and dab dab dab until you got a satisfying results😊

Precaution :
- This lotion is a controlled medicine and you will find a leaflet inside the box. Make sure to read thoroughly.
- Make sure to rest the skin for a week after 4 weeks of continuous usage. This is what  pharmacist told me.
- The same procedure and precaution applied to gel form

Availability :

I guess it is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Brunei. And I'm not sure whether it is available in other country. Well, just order online.  Nothing impossible. Life full of technology😂.

I bought it at RM 31 @ $8. Yes, it is small and costly but worth buying.

Pros:

-reduce acne include cyst and nodule
-work effectively
-absorb fast

Cons:

-strong smell
-costly for small size
-irritate when applied on open wound

Results:

Now I'm going to show the prove. For those who are eating, please stop. Sorry if it is disgusting you and make you feel uneasy. So on the left pic is before using T3 around mid-September 2016. Right pic-November 2016. Yet almost all big pimple gone and leaving blemishes and scar behind. So what you're seeing right now is dark pigmentation and scars and small pimple.  Yet I'm struggling to fade those scar. 😡
